NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

auto racing news

A series of new rules were introduced by the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. These rules didn't include any pit specialists or additional tires. This rule change was necessary as some tracks had unsafe pit roads, such as Dacono in CO and Tucson in AZ. Instead of pit stops the series decided to have a ten minute "halftime" break between races and allow tire changes for safety purposes.

Enfinger leads nascar race truck

Enfinger won his first Truck Series race in the 2022 playoffs. The young American won the race by beating John Hunter Nemechek as well as Zane Smith late in the race. The win ensures Enfinger's place in the second round of postseason play. Stewart Friesen and Ben Rhodes, both playoff drivers, were also in the top 5. Tyler Ankrum, who finished in sixth place, also achieved his best finish this season. Layne Riggs (top ten) and Ty Majeski (top ten) also made it to the top ten.

Enfinger made up 1.3 seconds of Majeski's lead at the halfway point. The two continued to fight for the lead, with Enfinger catching him on lapped traffic. On Lap 191, Colby Howard spun his truck and hit Hocevar in Turn 1. This led to the ninth caution. Enfinger stayed off pit road and passed Nemechek on Turn 4. On Lap 107 Enfinger escaped from pit road and passed Nemechek in Turn 4.

He started the second stage by starting from the outside lane. He battled with Creed to finish third.

Sammy Smith and Chandler Smith fight in nascar's truck race.

Sammy Smith is currently the second-highest placed driver in the ARCA Menards Series race. He stood up to the NASCAR Truck Series challenger. Smith was determined throughout the race and even restarted several times. In Turns 3, 4 and 5, he ran into the wall outside. He was placed in second. Smith has now finished seven races this season.

In last year's Truck Series race at Nashville, Smith led 46 laps and won Stage Two. However, in a late race restart, he was shuffled back and ended up 13th.
