Camera Edit menu from iRacing

iRacing's Camera edit menu allows you to customize your camera settings for replay and gameplay. While there are many cameras on the simulator, only two allow you easy screenshots: Scenic Cam (left) and Chase Cam (right). Unlike ACC, there's no "free cam" available in iRacing, so you'll have to edit your camera settings yourself.

Changing the shutter speed

You can now create amazing iRacing screenshots with the photo mode. This mode does not require a monthly subscription, but it is rather fiddly and limited. Here are a few tips to get the most out of the photo mode.

Adjusting the FoV

You need to ensure that your iRacing screenshot is clear. Change the FoV value to do this. This can be done by going to the iRacing Camera Edit menu, pressing CTRL +F12. There are many options to adjust the camera. The standard keys allow you to move the Scenic Cam. To move left or right on the camera, press A/D.

After choosing the new FoV value, you can start testing it out on a track and see if it has any impact on your experience. In particular, you should see a marked improvement in the way your car feels and looks when you change the FoV value. You will also be better able to gauge references and calculate braking distances. This should help you be more aware of the environment around you and improve your game. While you might not notice any changes in your lap times, your experience should be consistent and more repeatable.

How To

How to start racing abroad

First, you need to locate a local club that allows you to practice and compete. Driving in foreign countries can prove difficult due to different laws. For example, some countries don't allow drivers to overtake at any point on the road. Other countries permit overtaking only when you enter a roundabout. Some countries require cars to make a special sound when they enter or exit a roundabout. The best thing you can do before you travel to another country is to read the regulations. You won't be issued a ticket by the police for violating the law.
