Martin Truex Jr. takes first place after an exciting stage one finish. Kevin Harvick jumps up three spots to be seventh. JGR gets their fourth win of this season behind Christopher Bell. Chase Elliott leads the point race. It's all happening down in New Hampshire.
Martin Truex Jr. sweeps stage one
Martin Truex Jr. won stage one of the New Hampshire race and took the pole position. After a rain delay of about an hour, the Ambetter 301 gets underway on the 1.058-mile oval. Truex leads the race from the beginning. Bubba Wallace takes second. Kyle Larson is third, and Kyle Elliott is fourth. Kevin Harvick is seventh, after Aric Almirola. Harvick has a strong history at New Hampshire.
Martin Truex has had a rough season so far, but the Ambetter 301 was a standout race for him. He was the first driver to earn a pole in the season's final race and led 172 laps, more than any other driver. He also won stages one, two, and was in great shape to move on to the playoffs.

Kevin Harvick is now No. 7
After finishing sixth at the last event, Kevin Harvick has moved up three places to seventh in New Hampshire NASCAR's results. The four-time winner is just 19 point away from the Playoffs. Harvick has a solid track record here in New Hampshire. In the last six races, Harvick has finished in the top 12 five times. His position differential is +35 making Harvick a strong candidate to finish strongly at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
After leading the field for a long time, Martin Truex Jr. remained in the lead for most of the race, but Harvick had the best car to challenge the leader and move into the playoff hunt. The final caution in the race was when Todd Gilliland spun. This resulted a 93-lap greenflag.
JGR secures its fourth win with Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell has had a great start to his first season in the NASCAR Cup Series. He won the Texas 500, opening the season, and earned a spot in next year's playoffs. Bell has shown his ability to win both on short tracks as well as road courses and is a potential contender for the championship.
Bell is now 4-0 in Cup Series and has won two Xfinity Series races. He won three races this year, and one in 2018. Next, he won his fourth victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway's Ambetter 301. Chase Elliott was the Cup Series champion, but he had already won the race a week prior.

Chase Elliott holds point lead after stage two
The NASCAR Cup Series unloads in Loudon, New Hampshire, as Martin Truex Jr. sets the front row. Chase Elliott and he work in close proximity to each other to begin the race. They come in contact at the first turn. But Elliott is able avoid the collision and maintain the lead. Erik Jones makes contact to Justin Haley, and then spins the track. Alex Bowlicki makes contact with Elliott but Elliott remains at the front going into the second stage.
Bad weather delayed the race by nearly two hours. After a restart, Elliott remained in the lead for the next 37 laps. Then, after pitting for fuel and tires, he scored in third place. Later, he pitted under caution for two tires and was back in eighth place. Later, he gained ten positions and even the lead.
